Trunk mod for spare
here's my story... 2 weeks ago my rear passenger side tire got busted on the 110 freeway. i know i got a spare tire so i was calm. I opened my trunk and tried to lift the trunk covering up but my Bass box is too big and heavy to get to my spare tire. So in the freeway, under the california sun on the heart of downtown LA..... i had to remove all the connections unscrew the grounds and remove my stupid box just to get to my spare tire. took me 1 1/2 hours to do it since all i had was a philips screw driver and my box uses bolts, i had to use a wet towel and all my might to loosen the bolts that hold the box in my trunk. So now i decided to make a trap door for my trunk cause i dont want that ordeal to happen EVER AGAIN.
its a very easy mod but very very very useful...
Costs:
Plywood: $11 (homedepot)
Fabric: $15 (osh)
Fabric glue: $12
Hinges: $5
Starbucks Caramel Frap: $4
what do you guys think?
