IAT cel code 10 Help!

Icon2 IAT cel code 10 Help!

My car is a 1999 Civic LX stock motor, removed intake resonator.

My CEL went on a few weeks ago and I experience hesitation when accelerating when the engine is cold. I checked the code and the only one that is showing up is #10 - IAT.

I thought it may have been a fluke so I reset my ecu by unplugging it for 30 minutes and plugging it back in. The CEL was gone but reappeared after driving a few miles. Since then I have replaced my air filter and the IAT (located on my airbox) I reset the ecu once more, started my car, let it warm up without hitting the gas and shut it off. After driving the car a few miles the CEL came back on. I also experience low idle some of the time, almost to the point of killing the engine.

Has anyone experienced this problem before? Any suggestions?

your symptoms do point to something being wrong with the iat, if you have a multi meter it is really easy to diagnose. first check the wiring which is most likely your problem you should have continuity from one of the two wires to your ecu these links will help you with that http://hondaswap.com/reference-mater...pinouts-28667/ http://www.ff-squad.com/tech/wiring/wiring.92-95.jpg note that the plugs pins shown on the diagram are on the ecu. If your wiring checks out you can test it as shown in this link http://www.tec-help.com/Honda_ECT_IAT.htm . hope that helps if you have any other questions about testing it etc there is quite a bit of information on testing them if you google it. BTW I had a problem with mine because it wasn't getting a good contact with the pins so i took the plug apart and tightened them up to get better contact.
