Default Freedom-650 Car Alarm

I purchased a Freedom 2-way pager system, model #650, yesterday. Rather than spending $50+ in paying for someone to install it, I decided to tackle the job myself. With help from Google.com, I was able to successfully install the alarm and get it working properly.

My only problem was wiring up the parking lights. This particular model has 2 (+) wire outputs and I'm confused on how to hook them up. As far as I know, I'm supposed to use a relay for that option, but I could be wrong. So this is where I need help.

How would I go about connecting the flashing parking lights? Please break it down, I'm a noob to relay wiring and such.

Here's a link to the .pdf file of the manual, if you need it. http://www.omegarep.com/All%20PDF/Free-Binder1.pdf

Okay, really. You should return that and atleast get a dei unit off ebay with no warranty. When the install manual does not make sense. You have bought a pos. Sorry. I not trying to put you down but you will fare better with something else. I woul only use this as a keyless entry. And thats pushing it. this unit seems to have 2 12 output for the alarm. Does not make sence in install terms.

I can read the manual perfectly fine. The whole alarm is completely installed and fully functional aside from the parking light flash(what I'm asking). The system works flawlessly.

Well your whole post kinda doesn't make sense. I'm not really sure what you are saying.

this unit seems to have 2 12 output for the alarm.
What is this referring to? To the 2 (+) white parking light output wires, or what?

What's "install terms"?

I'm not asking for a referral of another alarm system. I bought this alarm because it had the features I wanted, for an affordable price.

Just need help on how to wire up the parking lights.

Thanks in advance to anyone that answers my question.

Connect the two parking light out puts together and connect to park light circuit of car.

Use only one of the park light outputs and connect to cars park light circuit, cap off the other park light output.

Either of the above will work.

IMO all alarms should have two park light outputs, it would eliminate the need for relays when installing alarms in European cars with isolated left and right side park light circuits, [BTW that is why there are two outputs]. 94

Works like a charm, thanks again.

I wired it up that way the first time, but for some reason it didn't work. Now it does, though.

Appreciate it.
