I'm trying to install a Toucan SE-500 3 channel alarm in my 1986 CRX...I know its no great alarm system but thats beside the point...well I got it wired up or so I believe...but there is one HUGE problem...the alarm is constantly on...like the LED light stays on solid (no flashing) the parking likghts are on and the alarm blares! no matter what I do I cant turn it off, the remotes dont seem to help or nothin...the only way to get it to stop is to unplug it! does anybody know where I might have gone wrong? what wires (colours) am I supposed to use? does anybody have detailed instructions on how to install and alarm? any help would be greatly appreciated!

Not familiar with that alarm. If your instructions are decent, all you need is a basic wiring diagram for that year... Almost all stereo installation shops have access to this information via Computerized Vehicle Wiring Database. Find a shop that is open, call directly to their installation bay, and ask for a big favor! HUGE FAVOR! You need a wiring diagram faxed to you for your vehicle... match the wires and check all connections. GL

 

well the instructions are vague to say the least...but ya I suppose a car audio place is gonna be my next step...damn shitty instructions!
