Default $300 budget. What to buy?

Hey everyone. Im new to hondas. I bought a 94 civic 2 door with a 1.6 liter dohc vtech motor. I am pretty broke but was wondering what some good buys would be to increase performance for cheap? im not looking for huge gains but just enough for me to notice. i dont expect to have a rocket for cheap lol but was wondering what would make it have a little more pep. please post your opinions or if you have something u have for sale, i know its not the proper thread but maybe a link to it would be ok. thanks everyone

basic intake/header/exhaust will be your bets bet. But honestly id just save it if your in hard times right now. Not worth going to the poor house to have a car with 15 more hp

very true man, besides treat your car good, she wont like you treating her with cheap ****! but if you insist I would look into the forums for used quality parts, just dont go buying **** off ebay bro! If I had that amount for my car I would start with a proper tune-up first if you havent recently done that

Save your money for a larger displacement swap, otherwise I'd start with the exhaust system.

I'd buy an chipped ECU and get it tuned. A ECU can be used with ANY B or H series engine that you wanna put into that car. You can get a few more kpg and get a few more ponies out of what you already have. It would be worth your time and your money all around.

I would put that $300 towards a few credits are your local college. $300 is not going to get you anything worth a damn on a 1.6L. At least increasing your value will hopefully fix your 'being broke' situation.

My $0.02

I remember paying ~300 for books each semister during my AS degree, nevermind the course but some colleges are cheaper then others.

Take your girl out to eat at a nice place. Put the rest in the bank. You wont get much quality/performance for $300.

If you want a good time for 300, buy a used nitrous kit. Def. the cheapest form of horsepower.

depending on what your car is like right now. K&N drop in or cone filter, sea foam it, new ngk plugs (gap them properly), pepboys has a special right now on castrol gtx oil w/ a fram oil filter for 16 bucks. timing belt and water pump. and save the rest for when you have a little more. then i would first go with an exhaust, then hi-flow cat and headers, 4-1 preferably. and im a fan of oem intake systems with a little mod. if you want to know what that is pm me. and get a reflash or basemap whatever ppl are calling them now and you'll be good for a while. whatever you do, take **** slowly, going fast only needs to mistakes fast.
