yea like he said, check main anl fuse, i have seen one that was bad before yet looked perfectly good, have someone that knows how to use a multimeter check your voice coils on your sub to see if its blown or not, or even if one of the little female spade connectors have come off if your sub has spade connector style terminals
I checked all the wiring. If the fuse was bad on the power cable, wouldn't that just stop the amplifier from even coming on? Because it powers on. It just seems like theres no signal coming from the RCAs. I have Jensen VM9022 and its been working fine for the past year or so. And i don't have the bass on so loud that its shaking everything loose. i just took out the HU to make sure everything is connected in the back and it is. i also ran a different set of RCAs to the amp to see if the cables were bad. but nothing still. any more ideas? i just don't see how the subs can stop working like that. it was working fine literally just the other night. had a movie going on and wasn't even turned up. turned it on the next morning and just nothing. doesn't even make sense...
anyone?
anyone?
Some amps indicator, [on light] is powered by the amps turn on lead.
The easiest way to eliminate the fuse as the problem is to replace it.
If that does not solve the problem then move on and test the sub itself, you will need a multimeter, yo can do a simple test with a 9V batt. disconnect the subs speaker wire from the sub amp, touch the speaker wires to the terminals of the batt., [AA, AAA, C and D cell batt. will also work but a 9V works best] the sub(s) should "pop", this test will only tell you that the circuit is not open, [if sub(s) pop], if no pop the VCs are damaged oe there is a connection problem with the sub(s).
Question...
Does your Jensen HU have sub-woofer control, if so, have you checked to make sure it is on and sub volume is up?94

yeah i tested the subwoofers before and it pops. yes the volume of the subs is on. even on max to check. nothing. and about the fuse thing, well i'm not running a fuse in the power cable. i know its not the smartest thing, but thats just how i've had the cable for, for the last few years. so thats why i didn't think that was the problem cause i didn't have a fuse.
i really appreciate the replys fcm, any more help would be greatly appreciated.
the subs are diamond audio along with the amp. its just weird to me cause i didn't touch any of the controls on the headunit or the amp between the last time the subs worked and now.

ok so i tested out my system with my friends system. so it turns out the problem is within the amp. headunit puts a out a signal so no problem there. and the subs work fine with friends amp. so now i don't know whats wrong with my amp. i checked all the fuses and they are all fine. i don't turn my system up that loud. and definitely not the last time it was working. anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?
