Default Help with Hondata. Not idle'ing too well.

I have a Hondata stage 2 on my motor. Here's the problem.

When I make a complete stop the RPMs drop down to 200 then immediately raise to 900. And sometimes it stall since it drops the RPMs so low.

Also - the idle fluctuates +-300 RPMs for a couple of seconds. Then they settle down.

This problem happens once every 5-8 times.

Do you guys have this problem?

Adam

I would think at you are running on a basemap? Tuning should take care of this. Also you may want to call your hondata dealer and ask them where the static fuel pressure is set to on the ROM.

If you're running a P28 ECU, make sure that the chip was created with the newest version of the P28 base code. If you have datalogging, you can tell if you have the new base code because when HondaLogger is running, you can look at the Target Idle value (press F2). If the number is 600 or so, you have the old code.

The hunting idle is also a symptom of the IACV duty cycle being set too high. I've been able to cure this on various cars by knocking it down a notch or 2.
