Default TB butterfly stop screw adjustment

I'm having trouble dialing in my idle. The tb is the Edelbrock 65mm. Is there a proper way to adjust the tb butterfly stop screw? I know you want it to hold the butterfly slightly open, but is there some proper way to set this? It also seems to me that moving the butterfly stop will affect the baseline TPS reading which could mess with the idle, correct me if I'm wrong on that. Thanks for any info.

Don't need the TB open.... adjust it till it is closed all the way! There is an Idle Screw adjuster for idle that lets air in .... With the key in the on position (not running) , u need to check your voltage ( red/ stripe blue wire ) and see what the voltage is at close and WOT..... should be around .5/4.5 close/wide open throttle)
