Default Time for my H23 VTEC Build DD

so I have finally been researching and looking and have finally got 99% percent of my parts and decided I want to start my build. it was a present to myself for getting out the army after 6 yrs.i was going to do an h22 build but my engine builder said why not try to do h23 vtec and and see what you can do out of it. so i said f--- it lets get this going. my goal is 240-250 and 190 tq. i will see what happens.its going into my 4th gen prelude sivtec. possible compression is going to be 12.5 to 1 on 93 octane.

I should be getting my head back from steve sometime this week or next. would have been earlier but poor guy got a flu. i am probably going to go to xenocron for tuning ectune most likely. getting the block cleaned at the machine shop should be here next week. hopefully I can be ready for honda day in april but will be close. I will have pics soon next couple of days hopefully!!! let me know what you guys think! the reason for people names in caps is thanking them for all the help they have given me...!!!!!!! and yes i know its in prelude section but wanted all motor opinion also.

Good luck with the build.
ok i aplogize for that its just there is not reason for someone to start bashing the thread already.....that is what causes sometimes people to be hesitant to posting cause you have to have someone be rude and not help just hurt a thread

Make a post in the Dynothread after you get this thing tuned. Curious to see how this things performs with the Bisi header.

you will love the graph around 5500 rpm. Just wait. Its going to be a power where you sit in 2nd and punch the gas at 4000 with traction and then the tires break lose around 5500.

fun ****.

got pics of some parts. i just fun out that the block is good to go and i should be picking it up in a few days. crank was balanced and block was cleaned and leveled. the pistons where taken care off into the rods. hopefully i get the head this week cause i want to start putting all the stuff together.what sucks is that when i was putting the mainfold together i am missing a freaking rdx clip and i don't know where it is. i've seen that u can use the scion mod but i was seeing if anyone knows where i can get the clip?????? it sucks that i have all this stuff and nowi missing a freaking clip.

I never understood the h23 vtec. Isn't it better to just get a h22 and grab an h23 crank?

roskoracing has that sweet rdx rail maybe you should ask him. He seems like a nice guy to deal with.

for me the reason was i want to use the h23 block instead of the h22. the manual tensioner comes in that block and most of the squirters are there just have to slightly readjust them so your crank willn't starv from no oil. also i the h22 block walls where not as good as the h23 block. thats my reason behind it. but most diffenetly wanted the tq.

You mean the fuel rail he listed in his parts list, then posted pictures of?

Xenocron sells the injector clips with the top hat adapter, I'd guess you could talk him into selling the clip alone

Most of the squirters? H23 block doesnt have the oil squirters... and the h23 has the same FRM(Fiber Reinforced Matrix) sleeves that the H22 has.

FRM - Fiber Reinforced Metal

Nice looking build so far crazes

In for results.

H23 = No replacement for displacement, your .1 of a liter up on the H22
