Default D16y8 engine

I have a 2000 honda civic with a d16y8 engine that finally dies on me so I bought an engine from ebay since I couldnt find one locally.
The engine numbers match but the manifold did not.
I contacted them and received an intake that fits but the wireing is different.
I dont work on cars and the mechanic isnt sure he can make it work.
Is there 2 different d16y8 engines for the 2000 civic?
They said it came out of a 2000 civic just like mine.
Is there any way to make this work or do I send it all back and start over?

The vacuum is different.
The intake on mine has a vacuum chamber above the ports but the one on the engine I received does not have this,
The mechanic said there would be a vacuum leak if I tried to use it.

are you talking about air injection? your engine should have air injection but if the new one doesn't then it's a 96-98.

It is not easy to see the old one but you can see what I am talking about.
If the new engine is a 96-98 is there a way to make it work or is it better to send it back and start over?

This thread is asking pretty much the same question. 99-00 Civic with a 96-98 longblock, he just put JB weld in the air injection holes on the 99-00 manifold.

But if I jb weld the hole will it throw codes?
What do you do with the line that is supposed to go there? Cap it off?
Do I have to change any of the chips or will it work right just like that?
