i just did a d16y8 swap in my ej6
when i start the engine, it just cut if self off instantly
if i press the gas pedal i can keep it alive but as soon as i let go it shut down


any clues or reason why its doing this?

yeah cel is for the canister and o2 sensor but iono why its a new o2 sensor

 

Sorry that was vague. MAP sensor malfunction. or MAP and TPS switched.

tps? yeah what codes are they? #'s

 

i lost the paper for the cel code but
the code was for like a fuel vapor something ( needs a different canister)
and the other was for the primary heating sensor o2 sensor

check your oil pump ! ! happen to me twice ..... my oil pump took a dump

 

You can pull the codes yourself at home (see forum CEL sticky).

As mentioned, also verify that connectors for the throttle body sensors -- TPS and MAP -- are not switched and connected tightly.

 

i'll go check the tps and map right now
and see what happen

 

i try to switch both the tps and map but it still does the same thing
it start then just shut it self off
