I was running a a old drag strip. It is closed down but i know the guy that owns it and he lets us race on it every once in a while. Anyway most of the electronic stuff has all been taken out. So all i know at the end of the 1/4 mile is my speed. I ran 90.3 mph. How do i figure my time. I know there is some equesion you use to figure that out (didn't pay attention in geometry) Can any of you guys help me out on this? If you don't know exactly what would you estimate?

 

the easiest way is to just have someone use a stopwatch and start when you start and stop when you pass the finish line...at least you'll get a rough estimate...if you don't have a stopwatch, you'll have to use some physics equation (can't remember the eqn...and i'm supposed to be an up-and-coming engineer)

 

I'd say a real low 15 or high 14, depending on your launch pretty much. I ran a 15.3 at close to that speed (but slower )

 

Ya i always mean to take a stop watch but i always forget the danm thing. Mabey ill start keeping one in my glove box.

 

Prolly low 15 or high 14 depending on your launch. pull like 2.1 that would be a 14.9 i would hin it really depends on too many things.
