98 civic lx speaker size
thank you i just in stalled some RE speakers some new brand i got at the tuner shop but my front left speaker wont work well it was not working before and i thought it was the speaker but its not so does anyone know an easy way to test the wires?
Easy enough to do with a multimeter, if you do not have a meter you can, if you have not already tried, swap the speaker out with the one on the front right, just to eliminate the speaker as the problem.
If it is not the speaker you will need to pull the HU and disconnect the left speaker lead and touch them to a 9V batt., [AA, AAA, C and D batt. will also work] if the speaker "pops" then the spark leads are good and the problem is in the HU
I there is no "pop" there is a break in the connection, most likely in the door jamb boot. 94

yeah there is a bad connection from the harness to the door i need to test the door jam boot but it is too dark right now. i hope i can find it or rewire it some how it looks like this might be a pain. i would just run the wire from the radio directly to the speaker but i cant figure out how to get the wire through the door jam ...DANGIT!
