Default I just installed the type R tranny and all I have to say is

WOW
The shifting is nice and smooth, second gear pulls like crazy compared to my GSR tranny, and the LSD is sweet around the corners....

If the tranny is so nice, I wonder what the rest of the rest of the R is like This is making me want to sell the GSR to get the R

There is a 2000 PY one for sale in Vancouver - low miles I think.

The best mod I've done yet.

Did this mod a couple of years ago and it's not smooth anymore but still loving it...

I can't believe how cheap they are here in Toronto, new tranny from dealer for $1850 CDN (not retail). Not even worth getting a tranny rebuilt. Once your tranny dies, just buy a new one.

Sounds good, I will be getting an ITR tranny for my GSR at some point in the not so distant future, but I would love to get the JDM ITR tranny that already comes with the higher/better 4.7 FD, anyone know what the prospects of getting one of these(new?) is? Can our US dealers order them or what, and how much do they run, any input? Thanks

I just got a Y21 LSD tranny (Civic SIR from Japan with the same gearing as the ITR) and let me tell you it's amazing! Pulls so much harder than the GSR tranny and with the LSD, tracking the car is so much better! I love the tranny!!!
