Default Bought me a new project car **PICS**

I just bought an 09 Honda fit as a daily driver and been looking for a project car ever since. This one just magically came up, I found it locally and couldn't pass up a deal of a lifetime. It's a 1988 Nissan 300ZX 5sp Turbo. It need some minor cosmetic fixes & i'm going to replace the alternator & power steering pump in a couple of weeks.

Hell, $1k for a turbo, 5sp, RWD car with 118k is a deal.

Update: 11 Mar 2009 (2 days later)

Replaced the alternator & accessories belts.

Wow what a pain in the butt replacing the alternator. Took me the entire day. Had to remove the fan clutch, all of the other belts, and then the lower radiator hose in order to get the the alternator, Nissan engineers should work on cars they designed.

I like my cars to be a sleeper, also wheels would be last on the "to-do" list for this car.

As of right now, I still got to find & fix the power steering issues.

And then all of the shock/struts need to be replaced.

The wheels are so gross. Factory wheels would even be an upgrade.

A timing belt job would probably be a good idea before you run this thing. Very nice shape.

yea but how do you know whether it's the power steering pump, steering rack, or steering line that's broken? It's too costly to replace parts that's not broken.
