so i bought this car in january and i seem to be having the strangest problems and the shittiest luck ever. you may remember me cracking a rear end diff from front to rear a little while back. well today i was looking at my motor and i noticed the alternator is cracked. is this normal? is everything supposed to be crackin apart on this damn car? i drive an 01 and i was wondering if there is recalls or anything because this should not of happened.






called up honda and they told me $500 for an alternator. f that. any advice?

Take it in and tell them to replace it. That can't be attributed to rough driving or anything like that. And if they say no then I would claim lemon law....

sorry about ur luck, but the car is 7 years old and anything can happen to it. Did u price out a aftermarket alt?

this place called carolina motorparts gave me a price of about 180 so i think ill use them. they seem to give me the best prices compared to everyone else.
