Icon6 Hole in oil pan

My 97 Accord LX had a self-drilling sheetmetal screw head (with washer and rubber gasket) visible on the bottom of the oil pan.I dropped the pan and found the screw had drilled a 1/8" hole in the hollow tube of the MAIN BEARING CAP BRIDGE.Does engine oil circulate thru this tube?If not, will the hole cause a problem?
I was going to braze up the hole in the pan,but noticed the inside is coated with paint. How do yall recommend repairing it?
What kind of paint will work?
Thanks

yes, you can change the bridge with the engine in the car

and i didn't replace the bolts, probably wouldn't be a bad idea, but for what its worth i didn't when i changed my main bearing bridge

You cannot change the Main bearing bridge without a A-lign hone or bore. Do not take bad advice.

DonF, Are you saying that the main brg bridge aligns the main brg caps and therefore the main bearing bore?
Does the bridge serve as a pressurized oi reservoir/accumulator for the main brgs?
I know it is connected to the pressurized oil circuit-I blew compressed air down the passage feeding oil to the head and got a good blast of air out of the hole they drilled in my bridge.

whats wrong with just filing the hole up with weld?...that is of course if you know how to do it properly, if not just let a welder fix it for ya, Im sure it will be less than another junkyard pan

Welding or brazing up the hole in the oil pan is no problem.Welding the hole in the bridge might be.It's cast aluminum and would have to be tigged or migged.Im thinking the heat could warp it.
