Default gsr internals in ls block???

is it possibly to bolt in a gsr crank rods and pistons into a ls b18b1 block? I dont wanna go vtec as i have a ls top end that I like. Just wanna know if this will work simply cause I bought a crank aluminum rods and forged pistons for what i was told was a ls but they are for a gsr.. anyway, thanks people..

yes it works but your losing displacement, and compression will be slightly more

Im not sure how i'd lose displacement?? a gsr is a 1.8ltr, after i got this and found out i was like ok this will rev better if it'll work... I have a professionally ported ls head with crower valvetrain and crower 404s, so i wanna stick with a ls block plus I dont wanna change blocks incase I ever drive the car to cali etc I want the numbers to match.

The stroke is different between the GSR and the LS...less stroke = less displacement.

gsr crankshaft has a shorter stroke than ls crankshaft. thats why ls has alil more torque than gsr. are your piston stock bore size? also, the gsr rods are alil longer than the ls rods so there mite be some piston/valve clearance issue. do some research, theres a thread that talked bout this. gl.

u can do it ls crank, rods in a gsr/r is a 2mm stroker setup. So it would be a
de-stroked ls might b ok wit 404s. i dunno

maybe, there 9.7:1-10.2:1 I dont know why they advertise different compression for them but they what the part number comes back as. I think it depends on what head is the only thing I can think of..
