Passing Maryland inspection...
Hey guys, I had a quick question about MD insection. My car has a big brake kit and coilovers, I heard from my brother's mechanic that it will fail inspection because aftermarket brakes and suspension are now illegal. Im not sure if this is true and was wondering if anyone here knew? Hope I posted in the right section, if not my B! im a n00b
Thanks!
Thanks!
I have heard nothing like that... The MD inspection is a SAFETY inspection only... It is up to the inspector to determine if your car is safe to drive on MD roadways or not. Some places in MD are slightly more strict than others but for the most part they look for good front end components (tie rods, etc...), good brake pads, no dark tint, no cracks in windshield, all lights must work, and the car must be in generally good running condition...
BTW whoever told you that aftermarket suspension stuff is illegal is an idiot and you should punch them in the groin...
