Worth it to fix up my HX body?
For the first time ever, I really like my car (civic hx).. I really plan to keep it forever because of the gas mileage and overall performance.
There are a few dents and ****, and the roof needs replaced. Car has 142k original miles. Is it worth it to spend the 3k$ the body shop wants, and totally fix it and repaint it?

It looks like somebody did the irish jig on the roof, and the drivers door is dented pretty good, and there are small random dents elsewhere.
Dont get me wrong, it doesn't look terrible by a long shot.. but it's enough to bother me if I plan on keeping the car for a good amount of time.
the paint is pretty decent.. but if I get all these repairs done, it'd need new paint.
edit: unless your asking how good of a paint job I'll be getting? In which case it will just be a factory Si red paint scheme.. nothing too special.

I think if you really see your self keeping it forever then you should do it because the longer you wiat the worse the car will get and more expensive the paint job will end up being

You are NOT going to keep that car forever lol.
I wouldnt pay $3000. Id read online about DIY body work, then have them paint it.

^Then he got a steal :p
But the car is probably about 50-60% finished being converted to a Mugen Si... I've kind of bonded with it ya know? Thats why I want to keep it. And I figure, if I plan to keep it around that long, then it would be worth it to put the money into it.
Right?

Another view I have is, with the crazy inflation of honda resale, and how its rising so quickly, if I were to get this car straight and clean I would almost certainly get my money back if for some crazy reason I'd ever wanna sell it.
