So im the worst driver ever and wrecked my eg. My crx and ef dont have their motors in at the moment and i need to get my ek to pass inspection. It doesnt have a cat and its throwing cel's 22, 41, 54, 65 and 91. The exhuast mani isnt bolted to the exhuast yet and i dont have time to fix all these problems now but will fix them asap. Can anyone help me get a sticker so i can get to my jobs?

Bolt the exhaust manifold down. Are your O2 sensors connected? Start by clearing all the codes from the ECU. Drive the car to see which codes return/repeat.

 

yea the o2s are connected. But im trying to get someone to pass it because even if all the cel's are gone it doesnt have a cat

 

Just buy a cat! You're risking it big time driving without one. More noise and black smoke sure will catch the patrol's eye.

 

Yeah, I am not sure but you may be able to buy a used one from a local junk yard.

I believe its illegal to sell used cats PERIOD. Just buy a new one. Might as well buy a high flow cat while ur at it.

No idea, but as far as I know you cannot purchase a used catalytic converter from a junkyard. And for the record people steal cats for the precious metals in them...
