What is the proper procedure on changing my ys1 tranny oil>?
I sthere any write ups out there? I would like to see write ups or picture by picture.just to make sure i didnt skip any vital info.
O and are tranny flushes helpful??

ok here you go: on the passanger side of the tranny there is a drain plug remove it to drain and to refill it there is another plug that is near the same level as the frame rail its been a while but i think one takes an allen to remove it and the other is like a 12mm

And as for the flush i would do it if you have ground any gears if not there really isnt a major need for it but it never hurts

same procedure.

i used a on/off fill tube that attaches to the oil bottles. makes it a lot easier.

tip: break loose the bolt to fill the fluid first, then the drain plug. That way you will not drain and not be able to get fluid back in, in the case that the bolt where you fill the fluid is extremely tight. Make sure transmission has cooled down some, i know on mine if the transmission is still warm/hot the bolts are tighter (i guess because metal is expanding because of heat?) Also you will want to use a breaker bar with that 17mm to get the bolt off, they are usually really tight if they have been on for a long time without removal.

well at least someone had the right size i couldnt remember i havent messed with my tranny in over a year but then again i only drive mine on weekends and the occassional autox
