timing belt cover trouble
i need to change my water pump cuz its leaking. But first i need to take off the lower timing belt cover off the D15B. I went through the repair manual but did not give me enough info. Its stuck between the crank and cam gears and the upper left motor mount. Is there another way to remove it without taking the gears off??? Does anybody know how to take it off??
The only way to get the lower timing belt cover off is to take off the crank pulley first. Then you have some 10 mm nuts to take out around the cover after that. Then the cover should come off. You may have to play with it to get it to slide out.
take off the crank pulley (plenty of threads on how to do it now that i ran into the problem 2 days ago) and as peej said before then its i think 6 10mm bolts and it comes right off
your main problem is the crank pulley if you have the flat face like mine (idk wat models do and dont) then its alot harder unless you can get your hands on a heavy duty impact gun and its simple put it in final gear and let her rip
