Default 1/4 mile times.

I went to the track today with my 08 FA5! Car is stock with the exception of a Injen SRI. I went 15.3 twice and then on the last run I went 14.9 @ 93 I think is pretty good for a heavy sedan. Anyone been faster in a stock sedan?

Good runs.
FA5 is 90lbs more then FG1/FG2 (not so heavy sedan)
What was the 60'?

Seems like the 14.9 is a pretty good time. Most guys with bolt-ons are running low 14's, so considering you're stock that's not too bad. With a little more practice you could probably shave a couple tenths.

I have been to the track many times just not in this car. i have had a few swapped eg's inthe past but this thing is a whole new ball game. I really hate the drive by wire it hesitates too much. i am gonna be getting the reflash and a header then i will go back.

yeah, im assuming you're power shifting as well. but pretty nice times...get that 60 down to a 2.1 or 2.2 and you'll be good.

It will cut the time down. Make the car faster. Header will free up airflow and reflash will just add a lil pwer top end and alow you to redline at near death RPMS.

The fastest I ran stock (crappy all-seasons) was a 14.889 @ 94.57 mph, with a lousy 2.287 60' (one of my slowest 60's of the night).

Good times. A better 60' will definitely help you.

What are you trapping at? The fastest I've ever trapped was a 14.923 @ 95.49 mph.

What are you launching at? I've found (through over 75 runs) that my best launches are from about 3750 rpms.

It's gonna sound corny but get used to your car stock. Once you get consistent and you are happy with the times, start modding it. That way, you'll know what your car and you are really capable of.

True true true.

I've raced a reflashed Si with headers/exhaust at the track, and I got him out of the hole. But, mid track he pulled on me so hard.

Oh....wow I just about to call you out, because I was comparing some of my times to yours, but then I saw you have a SRI.

I had a 15.1 @ 93.50 with a 2.277 60' stock (not my fastest but close to your times for comparison), so I didn't believe your numbers, but the SRI would definitely shorten your times to the 8th.

That is why your 60' is so bad. Leave at a lower rpm.

Smooth out your 3rd to 4th shifts. They may seem good enough, but trust me, when you really focus on that, your trap speed will come up. *PS*-I don't powershift.

I hope you aren't one of the suckers that lowers their tire pressure on street tires too.

You'd be surprised what a brown bag of dry ice sitting on the manifold between runs will do.

LOL yea its kool that your misunderstood. The ice would help alot too. Just try to stay consistant with you launches and shift points. After reflash youll have to adjust your shift points due to higher redline. Im actually getting the reflash this summer and getting some DR's.

actually most of the power that the reflash gives you is in the mid rpms since it drops the vtec to 4500 rpms. but that alone will launch your car down the lane one heck of a lot faster.
reflash and a new header i would honestly say will cut at least a second off your times.

LOL. You obviously have no idea how much a second is on the track.
