I wonder if anyone has any datalogs showing intake temps from putting ice on the intake mainfold vs. not, after they've made a pass down the track.

it's hard to believe you get any help from that. and if so then thats a good cheap trick.

well to answer that Dirty my car runs a hell of a lot better when i have a break inbetween my runs. so iceing the intake mani would just cool down the car faster so that you didnt have to wait so long. Im running the DC sports race header and its just great for me. THe BCRH is a nice header though.

wow 14.9 is pretty good but still so damn slow that I would never even bother to drag my car at all, no way no how, theyre are just so many other cars out there (even for the same cost) that are so much faster.

I'd probably cry if I had to drag race in my civic after a few years of owning a V8 rx7

I pretty much hot lap my car everytime I go to the track, stopping only to take a leak or get a drink. On a good night, I can get 20 runs in 3 hours. My fastest run ever was my next to last of that particular night, in which I ran 17 times, pretty much all back to back.

My friend has iced his intake, and I was amazed at how fast the ice melted. Ironically, his car ran slower.

I've taken my friend's V6 Explorer down the track before (and ran over 18 I think lol), and I still had a blast.

The first 60' is half the battle...the reflash SHOULD notably decrease your times

It definitely should. I don't know about a second, but it should bring your times down.

anything that will improve your 0-60 (reflash) will definitely improve quarter mile time.

Please don't confuse ice with the DRY ICE I'm talking about, which gets the intake temps down much lower than regular ice. I can report 2/10ths of a second improvement than without it.

Oops...sorry Kid. Didn't see the "dry" previously. I don't have personal experience with dry ice.

reflash coupled with intake, header, and exhaust WILL knock down at least a second.

^^ yes it very true. He could possible get a 13.9 to a 14.1. With drag radials they definatly are doable times. Im hopeing to hit a 13.7 at best this summer.

Who cares about with drag radials? Take 4 tenths (at least) off of that time for regular street tires.

I've driven and raced against a car with I/H/E and reflash and it definitely does not knock a second off of a stock Si.

Umm sorry I disagree. With I/H/E and reflash and DRAGRADIALS will knock off a second off the time. Heres a vid to prove it.

Don't. Trust me I've tried everything. It doesn't work on normal tires. I just spun more actually lol. And if you lower enough for the tire pressure light to come on, VSA comes on automatically, whether or not you turn it off/on.

No dude...that would mean we DO agree.

I am saying that I/H/E + reflash on normal tires will not knock off a second. It would probably knock off around 5-6 tenths (thus the subtract 4 tenths from time for regular tires).

I'll copy and paste (with an edit) for easier comprehension.

I've driven and raced against a car with I/H/E and reflash on regular radials and it definitely does not knock a second off of a stock Si.

Dude if we are agreeing then why do you keep saying it will NOT knock off a second. That it will knock off 5tenths. a 14.9 down to a 13.5 or even the 13.8 is 1.4-1.1 seconds off his time now. IT WILL(WILL BEING THE MAIN WORD) knock off a second. you keep sayign IT WILL NOT.

LOL its late and i think im reading this rite. Could be wrong, and if i am just tell me and ill shut up.
