ok so im replacing blown shocks on my ek hatch wit oems (from a 97). but the fork is way longer than the control arm iv'e tried hundreds of ways to push up the fork but it doesn't work.
anyone have a solution to this??

 

Yes. Swap out the forks with the ones that came with your car.
LX/EX/Si/CTR come with a front sway bar and have different LCA's and forks.

yeah thats the thing i am using the stock forks. is it the shocks??

 

ok maybe im not understanding you correctly. could you take some pictures and describe the problem better in detail?

 

i dont have access to a camera right now...basically the fork is way lower than the control arm. i don't know how else to explain it...

 

oh.. have someone push down/step down on the control arm, slide the bolt in, and torque it down.

 

alrite ill give it a try tomorrow. if i still cant get it...you'll c another post.

you need to "jack up the fork" with another jack so you can get the bolt in .
