Default Well, it's finally happened. (help?)

Today after work, i walked out to my car to find that my back emblem was stolen.

I wasn't too pissed as i have been waiting for this day to come for a long time. They did a good clean job, no scrapes. just glue left.

So, opinions please. Another emblem or bodyshop and shave?

btw, how much would shaving be?

Shave it for $150 or so. If not, get a regular emblem.

Whew...almost thought you got your car stolen. The tile is VERY misleading.

Me too, I always expected my car to be stolen or stripped. Then it was and I still expect it to happen again, although I think it will be MIA next time.

Mine was stolen 4-5 nights ago as well... as a matter of fact I just finished cleaning all the glue off. I now need a new emblem. Anyone know where to get them cheapest?

Are the aftermarket emblems on eBay the exact same size?

Can anyone verify if they are the identical size to stock? As I'm sure you're aware.. when the OEM emblems removed... a "ring" of nonremovable dirt is there... needs to be covered up entirely...

Don't get the ones from ebay, the red is not the same. You can readily tell that it's fake, almost orangy in complexion.

I have a fake and real one. They are about the same size. I have only compared them while the real one was on the car and the fake one off. I'd say at most 5% difference if you buy a $10 fake one.

I used to think that shaving the middle emblem would look strangly plain back there, but a frined of mine recently had it done and it looks nice. Very clean.

$150 to shave the emblem isn't bad. Might as well lose the "acura" script as well. Just a couple fewer things to worry about when they're gone as far as I'm concerned.
