Icon2 Swap the Engine?

So, Nightmare finally died. I had'er towed to a friends place and I went to work taking it apart to see what went wrong. First of all, I believe I have a cracked block. When I took off the valve cover, there was some slimy light tan stuff all over the inside. I'm guessing by the droplets of clear liquid that it's antifreeze mixed with the oil. Secondly, when I was trying to get it to turn over, the fourth spark plug jumped the coil wire out of it's socket and then puffs of smoke started to come out as it cranked. The plug won't come out at all now, it just spins free in the hole there...

So, do I buy a new car, or buy a new engine and replace it?

I found this: http://stlouis.craigslist.org/cto/1061382078.html and I think it's a great candidate though I don't know what difference there will be between its manual and the auto transmission setup that I have. Would I still be able to just pull and drop the engine into mine? Is it even worth it? Anybody want to help?

Nobody? Not even a "good idea/bad idea"?
