Default LS swap questions

my car is a 95 OBD1 LS. I'm gettin a 99 LS swap. My question is can i use the 99 OBD2 motor in my car if i swap the whole fuel rail, injectors and intake manifold from my OBD1 motor. I know i would need to swap the OBD1 dizzy as well.

let me know what i need for the swap to work.

Yeah basically just use the newer longblock with all the obd1 stuff (IM, injectors, dizzy, alternator, etc) for the least headaches

I believe the obd2 alternator is a different plug than obd1, you can use it but you would have to rewire it. If your obd1 alternator is good, use it. Keep the obd2 one around as a spare. Same with the dizzy if your obd2 engine came with one. Hold on to it as a spare since you'd just have to rewire the plug to use it.

But yeah, swap over everything you can to the new longblock and you'll have no issues.

you could probably just leave the CKS unplugged (you won't have that plug on your obd1 harness anyway).
