1990 Honda Accord....need to put new belt on....how would I go about it or am I better off paying $40 labour at a garage....I already bought the belt for $20. What tools would I need? Any help is appreciated.

Loosen the top tightening bolt - it's on the top of the puilly and goes through the head of a larger bolt you should see it.

Loosen the top bolt for the pulley to the mount

Loosen the lower bolt/nut for the pulley

Swing it downwards

Remove belt

Install belt

Pull upwards and out on the pulley and tighten the two main pulley bolts the best you can

Fine tune the tightening with the top adjustment

Should take 20 mins

 

$40 bucks, hell no, what a rip off.
