I need help
1988 honda prelude 2.0 si 4ws. Driving the otherday and my belt broke off. Was told its my serpentine belt. Goes around the top pulley. A/c pulley and 2 more. How do I release the tension to get new belt on? I found the tensioner bolt and loosened it but still wont fit. Do I have to also loosen the bolt on the pulley? If so what pulley the one in the middle?
You have a power steering pump belt on top and an ac/alternator belt on the bottom.
You need to loosen up about a couple turns the two mounting bolts that run side to side. Then loosen the adjusting bolt until the pump starts slowly going down. The adjusting bolt will probably be a 10 mm and one mounting bolt will probably be 14mm and the other a 12mm.
Then slide the belt on and tighten the adjusting bolt. On the longest side of the belt, in the middle, you twist the belt with your fingers and you want about 90 degrees of deflection.

It sits on top. Dont touch the pulley bolt.
41 is one mounting bolt. There should be a nut that you need to loosen and then you loosen the adjusting bolt.
