timing belt problem
I changed the timing belt on my 97 accord ex! a lot more vibration out of the engine now at all rpms i double checked to make sure the ballance shaft was aligned properly and it looked to be aligned right. any one have any ideas?
My timing belt problem turned out to be the damper pulley had "walked" off the center and was rubbling against the cover, creating a noise. You might check to see if yours might not be off center since it could create a vibration as you describe
i know you prolly dont wanna hear this but take the timing cover back off and make sure your counter balance shafts are aligned properly. set your crank to tdc align the cam so the side mark on the gear meets the deck of the head and then line the left side counterbalance with the etched portion of the shaft at 12 o clock, then remove the bolt from the back of the block size up a drill bit that will fit and catch the flat side of the shaft when you turn it. at that point throw the belt on adjust accordingly and you should be good to go. REMEMBER TO TAKE THE DRILL BIT OUT AND PUT THE BOLT BACK!!!!
