Icon2 Optios for activating V-Tech solenoid?

Hi everyone,

I have a 1998 Civic DX and I installed 95 Civic V-tech cylinder head. I am using the 98 OBD2 ignition with just 1 bolt grabing it to the head. I was wondering what ECU I should use or if I should just use a MSD RPM Activated Switch? Al the car has is a Intake & 10mm spark plug wires. The car runs pretty good except for the V-tech that does not kick in. I am just looking for some extra fun driving my everyday car to work and back home. I might add some extra bolt on depending on the feed back I get at this exceptional Honda FORUM. I really appreciate the help. I am not so shore if what I did is correct but the car has been running good for 2 years now.

Thank you all,

Does it mater or not if my civic is OBD2? Because the P28 is a OBD1? not so shore but just trying to brake it down.

you get a conversion harness that will allow you to directly plug in the P28.

you need:
-conversion harness
-P28 ECU
-wire up VTEC... run and tap your wires into the wires on the conversion harness that go to pins A4 and D6 on the OBD1 side of the conversion harness.
