removed pin - shift linkage stuck
i need some help i've done this 4 times and usually when i take out the b*tch pin the shift linkage just disconnects from the rod and just slides off. but this one is just stuck connected to that rod (connected to the transmission).
i sprayed some lube on it
i tried hammering it the oppisite directing to try to slide it off. didn't work
tried prying it with a screw driver. didn't work
i'm not sure what else i could do. what should i do?

The two pieces might have rusted themselves together. if you have an O/A torch you can heat up the connection point and hammer it a bit. dont heat it up to much, just enough to get the metal hot enough to expand and break the bond. i had to do this on a swap i did and worked great. hope this helps you out.
get yourself some p-b blaster and let it sit for awhile. then run it through the gears till it comes apart. if you have the shifter out already use a hammer and a ball joint fork. put the hammer in between the linkage and the part on the tranny. dont hit it to hard it will come apart.
