well i need injectors to finish my car and i got some obd1 injectors from someone off here. problem is they dont clip together ( the new injectors ) into what i have now. there both obd1 but here are pictures.
the one with the 2 tabs is the new injectors
and the one with no tabs is the old.

can someone help identify please? thanks

you're gonna need injector clips. you can get some from phearable.net

if you get injector clips you can make them work. or you could even hardwire them.

 

well where could i get injector clips? i really only have 2 days to work on the car

 

 

its not worth the hassle. dont take short cuts on your car. leave your harness the way it is and get the right injectors. what car and motor are these injectors for? if your looking for stock EG injectors i have a set i will give to you.

 

using injector clips isn't a shortcut.

if that's a shortcut to you, then would you call using an ECU conversion harness to convert to OBD1 so you can tune a shortcut?

 

its a obd1 JDM B16 in a OBD2 car. i really ont have time to ship out and recieve parts in 2 days im pretty time limited. which this is the reason im so pissed.

can anyone else verify that the left picture is obd2 and the right is obd1?

 

and another question, can any OBD1 B series Injector work?

 

they are. and to make sure i just went and looked at a set of OBD1 injectors i am storing in my closet (for now).


you could always hardwire them.

 

thanks my man.. im just gonna go to the junkyard because i dont want to hardwire anything. just gonna keep everything stock because i only need 2 of the injectors, 2 of mine are bad. i appreciate the help. do you know if all b series obd1 injectors are interchangeable meaning i can use some from ls or del sol?

 

they're all interchangeable fitment wise, but i'm pretty sure that some of the B series engines have different cc injectors, and you don't want to mix and match cc's.

not all B series injectors are the same. obd1 and obd2 are different. so you have an obd1 wiring harness in your engine bay?

 

thats a harness. you are talking about hacking and splicing. your idea is a shortcut to solving an issue. if that was the only solution to the problem then i would say slice away but since he has optionsi would go for doing it right.

 

oh so you were talking about the hardwiring... i thought you were talking about the injector clips.

anyway, yea i'd have to agree, hardwiring them is definitely something i wouldn't do... but if he's pressed for time to the point where he doesn't have time to get new injectors or some injector clips like he made it seem, that's kinda what he's gonna have to.

 

i would say go to the junkyard thats probably going to be your best bet if your pressed for time

 

P.S. i wouldent go to the parts store and get the bosch ones all i hear are bad things with them idk how ive never had to use them so i havent experienced any problems first hand but but i figured i would pass it on to you.
