In the middle of dropping the transmission and well, sometimes things get in the way without realizing it. What is this sensor thing?





another dumb question while i'm here... what is the name for the rubber accordion style seals that get destroyed when you separate the ball joints to pull the axles out? thanks in advance

 

looks like you need another VTEC soleniod

the paticualr sensor you broke was the oil sender
you can either buy a new sender or just buy another soleniod

 

that would be your vtec solenoid
you can get used ones pretty cheap but from Honda its about 300 bucks.

At one time i had about 3 of those things in my garage floating around..coulnt tell you where they are tho haha My motor came with alot of broken parts so one of them looked like yours lol

 

that will be your vtec oil pressure sensor.
check out the hondamarketplace here on H-T. you can find new Vtec solenoids pretty cheap.
