Default Oil sensor question

So if when I hook up my oil feed line for the turbo and use the T connector, but I don't plug my stock oil pressure sensor back in and instead plug in my oil pressure gauge, will everything still run ok, and will vtec still engage?

I don't mean to sound like a ricer with the vtec engaging part, but I know vtec will only engage when the circumstances are correct. ie. oil pressure and idk if that will happen if the stock oil pressure sensor is not connected.

Thanks for the help

I don't really want to have to hook all that up and find out vtec doesn't engage then have to drain my oil again, jack up the car, get a new adapter, go through all that trouble if someone can just answer the question from personal experience or knowledge.

There is an oil pressure sensor on the VTEC solenoid and it is used for VTEC engagement. The oil pressure switch you want to disconnect is ok to do, but you will have the oil light on all the time (unless you remove the bulb).

Ok, that's what I was looking for, but as long as my aftermarket oil pressure gauge is hooked up and I can monitor that it is at the correct pressure, there shouldn't be a need for the stock one correct? I also will have an oil temp gauge as well.
