Came across a totalled out integra ls and my g/f has an auto 97 Civic ex. Tried to convince her to do a auto to manual swap and drop the bseries in. ( her d16y8 has 208k) But she wants to keep it auto..I know what is needed for a manual conversion but what will i need to put the auto tranny in there?????????
I searched the swap info and have not seen any auto swaps( i know its not common)
she is just looking to get some extended life out the civic..

 

An automatic B series swap into a 6th GEN civic isnt going to work.
Its been done, but youll need to notch the frame rail for the larger B series Auto trans.
Custom mounts.
Extensive wiring.
ITs really not worth it at all.

If your girlfriend wants anything more than a D-series you can pretty much count on an auto to manual swap.
