Default Hit and Run...Help!!

Some dude decided to hit and run on my left rear bumper out here in DC. I had to drive it out today cuz my DD was in the shop. Luckily there is nothing smashed in or crumpled. First, are there any liquids or compounds that would get off some of the black gunk?? Second, there is a slight gap formed between the rear bumper and body of car from the hit. I tried to push it up but its not holding. All the bolts are on tight too so I dont know whats wrong. Any suggestions or help would be awsome.

The paint should polish off, but you will probably reveal some deep scratches from the damage. The metal tab holding the bolts prob bent, that's why there is a gap.

The body gaps look fine.
USE Clay to remove 98% of that. then just clean up the rest with some 'cleaner wax'
I stongly suggest using clay in doors, heated area and warm car.
Working with cold car and clay sucks.

Autozone...it's called a "clay bar." It's used for detailing.

It's not going to be quick, but will do no damage to the paint and provide the best results.
Cleaner wax such as Meguiar's Cleaner Wax (from most auto supply places) will also take some work to get the remainder off, but again won't hurt the paint and provide more then happy results.

That guy Bbasso on here did or does detailing, why not contact him to see if he can help?
I found the thread for him: https://honda-tech.com/forums/showth...382&highlight=
