is there any way to increase the range of the keyless remotes?
can i just extend the antenna wire and put it close to the window?
i cant get more than 10feet.. and it has to be clear passage.

make model of alarm, extending the wire will not incress range. Most of the time the wire lenght is tunned to the alarm. make sure there are fresh batteries on the remote and the alarm has a good ground

You can try it. I can't say that it will make it better.

Do you have window tint?

Good quality tint has a high metallic content in it which can effect radio waves (ie alarm remotes)

Is the antenna centered behind the rear view mirror?

This location typically gives the best range of reception.

Does it happen in the same location (poor reception) or does it work fine other places or is it a constant situation?

If its happening in the same location you may have a larger radio signal effecting reception...if not check batteries install etc.

So its installed under the dash. and yes i have window tint but its actually not a good brand. i can tell that its going to eventually turn purple.. (need to replace it soon) .. i guess im just stuck with the range i got.. its all good.. i just wanted to know if there was a way to get better signal..
