how do you wire up a LED for an alarm?

LED has 2 pins...

one is positive, another is negative..

match them up with the outputs on the brain..

personally I think its wiser to not wire it up.. Then if they try and break in your car they dont have the chance to get around your alarm

the alarm led SHOULD just be a status indicator...

not a vital part of the alarm...

also the wires leading from the led to the brain should follow the stock wiring.. and some what "blend" into the stock wire... either by stuffing it into existing loom, or wrapping it to existing wire with eletrical tape...
