One of my brake lines just rusted out around the middle of my car. If you were to look under the car from the drivers side door it would be right there. From the drivers side its the 4th line over. There is the fuel line and then 4 brake lines. Its the furthest one from the drivers side door. When I followed this line it goes right to the back and then up a little and to the right (goes twords passenger side) where it seems to go into a clip of some sort.

Looking at where it is, it seems like its going to be very difficult to get into the area where the line ends to remove it and then put a new one on. Seems almost impossible to get at. Not sure what to do.

I was thinking about doing a compression fitting around the area but Im worried about the line actually not being smooth because of surface rust and the compression fitting not working.

Any ideas to help repair this?

 

Mine have all been done with couplers. Cut out the bad section of brake line, cut a new length of brake line to replace the piece you cut out, put fittings on all the pieces of line, install couplers. Other than that replace the whole line. Btw if one line has rotted through chances are the rest will break while your under there disturbing the one thats already broken.
