Default 102hp with vtec seems low hp

I took my 24hoursoflemons racecar to a dyno and it dynoed 102 hp at 6400
Just seemed low !

Its a 88 4dr with d16z6 and a si trans with 14 steelies w/ 195 60 14 hankooks
cold air filter intake in the interior and 2"exhaust no cat and magnaflow .

I don't think the vtec is working ,I also got a jumping tach issue just wandering if maybe my tach is wired wrong when I did the swap and that might causing th vtec to work .

Any ideas thx

102 at the wheels is not low for a stock z6. Considering the power lost through the drivetrain and the stock rating of 126hp that's a very reasonable number. Maybe a little above average, can't say for sure since i didn't get a baseline dyno before i boosted mine.

seems to be about right, idk what your looking for? post the graph and you'll notice a power drop where vtec should engage. If your Peaking at 6400 rpm i can almost guarantee that vtec is working, you would peak lower if it wasnt.
