its almost as if the throttle stay open a little, when i come to a stop the engine stay reving at about 2.5l-3k. it comes back down to normal only if i tap the gas. when im driving its almost as if it the crusie control were on.
what im palming to do this weekend is to take off the throttle body and give it a good cleaning, anyone have any other ideas?BTW it throws p0170-172 from time to time, if that has anything to do with it

Good idea about thoroughly cleaning the throttle body. Also check whether the throttle cable is adjusted too tightly.

agreeing with previous posts, check if your throttle is getting stuck . i had the same problem (aug. 2008) with my b18c1. all i did was clean inside the throttle body with carburator/throttle body cleaner and i adjusted the cable accordingly. haven't had the problem since then.

 

today i took out the TB and cleaned the PHUK out of it, put it back in. and it was still sticking, so i took a closer look at it and i noticed that i seems as if the throttle plate is getting cought on the TB opening.
is it normal to have to file down the corners of the throttle plate,?
