Ok so my car has been overheating for awhile now and i found its my thermostat. It is sticking shut. Stupid question and i feel i know the answer but if i removed my thermo for the time being until my new one gets in will it not overheat anymore?

I never actually thought about it, but my guess would be no. Since you would have a constant flow of coolant.

The only thing a no-thermostat condition will do is not allow the car to fully warm up in some circumstances. This could affect the heater, and perhaps fuel economy, and maybe a bit of carbon deposits. It'll be better than warping the head. :- )
