Yeah if you make sure all your timing is correct and you don't have a CEL, it could just be gunk in your engine, so try to keep it running.
This happened to my friend. BUT make sure everything is correct or you could seriously hurt your motor.

well i have 2 bad fuel injectors which is making my engine backfire while idling. i have a obd1 jdm b16 in a obd2 car. does trhis matter?
anyone know what kind of injectors to get? thankss.

how are you sure the injectors are bad? I had similar problems when i did my swap. Found out i had the wrong spark wires going to the cylinders. correctedd it and ran liek a champ.
how did your injectors go bad when you said the car ran fine before, but all you did was swap a shortblock, you should be using the same injectors still
and if your car had a crank sensor before and now that it's an obd1 block, it wont have it, you might want to check that
check timing
check spark order
check for wrong plugs on the intake manifold

if your injectors are obd2 then you need a resistor box for the obd1 ecu to work right or you will fry your ecu. OBDII injectors have 2-3 ohms of resistance between the two prongs
What codes did you come up with? I just finished my swap and my map sensor wasn't hooked up correctly which caused a rough idle. Make sure your vacuum lines are all hooked up.
my unclei s a mechanic at mercedes and said i had two bad fuel injectors. i believed this was a problem before the car stopped running htough. and with the crank sensor we swapped it as well. ill check the map sensor on tuesday and how many vacuum lines are there?
what do you mean wrong plus on intake manifold? its a Skunk2 Pro series intake manifold. i havent been working on it, so ill check evrtything when i get back ( im at college right now )
