swapping d16y7 into obd1 car
hey guys. i just swapped a d16y7 into my 93 civic sedan which is a obd1 and the motor is a obd2 now me and my buddy swapped all obd1 parts from my old motor to the d16y7. intake mani, distributor, alternator, and exhaust manifold. it still won't start. any ideas what the oroblem may be?

i havent touched the timing at all. timing belt was already on the motor. my boy checked the timing. it checked out. so idk what else to do.

Not to be simplistic but a motor only needs a few things to run. Check them and post results:
Air - generally not an issue if the air filter is good
Spark -what color is the spark, yellow, white, blue? Firing order correct? What do the plugs look like? Wet with fuel? Dry?
Fuel - pressure? Fuel at the injectors?
Timing - check cam timing?
Compression - do a compression check
All in all make sure you have the ground at the thermostat clean and tight as that is missed very easily along with all your other engine/trans grounds.

Fuel - pressure? Fuel at the injectors?

why would you put a Y7 on anything, that motor sucks big time, i have one in my hatch and I can't wait to get rid of that slowass, oil burning p.o.s

motor is good for getting around, but if your looking for speed of course its not the one to get....just put a y8 intake manifold
