blown head gasket ???? i need help!!!!!
i have a turbo LS V TEC and the car was tuned and running fine ...now the car just started to blow steam out the valve cover and out the muffler too....it turns on with no problem....but it does start to over heat and then the steam comes out from the valve cover and the breather kit the oil is gray....so what do you guys think it is could it be the head gasket or the sleeves.....i just dont want to start to take it apart and find out that the motor is funked up....is there anything i can do to diagnose the problem with out taking it apart.....

if u have the compression tool only and want to check if the rings are gone, check compression and see if its low. if its low, put a capful of oil in the low cylinder and check compression again. if it increases, its the rings.
other than that, the leakdown will tell u if its ur valves, headgasket, or rings.
if its ur rings, put rislone compression repair as a temporary fix until u save up for a new block.

really?...really? I cant believe people still do this.....
anyways...do a leakdown before you dissaaaemble it, I dont think you'll have a problem figuring out what it is after you tear it apart, but at least it will prepare you for what you need to replace...BTW quit driving it, if water gets into the oil, the engine will definitely be fuked
