not to long ago i had my em1 broken into. just got a smashed window and stolen cds. but anyways i noticed after i had my car broken into my remote start quit working. and now that its warming up here i figured it would be a good time to take a look at it and see what might be the problem. i dont know much about alarms and the wiring of one. the alarm was installed when i bought the car any ideas what to look for which could cause it not to work. bad wire somewhere or relay bad everything else works just fine except remote start doesnt work. like i said before dont know really anything about what all need wired for the alarm or remote start. just looking for advice on what to look for. thanks

 

What's the model of your alarm? So did you alarm never go off or what, exactly? Can you still unlock your doors? Have you looked under the dash to see where the alarm is installed and look over the connections?

 

yea actually everything still works lock and unlock even alarm works tested it unlocking from inside with it armed. when my car got broken into im pretty sure the alarm went of cause when i was leaving work i unlocked it and it beeped twice im like ok just maybe didnt have my door shut all the way i get there my windows smashed only promblem with that is i work in a metal shop and alarm didnt make it to the 2 way responder. but anyways no i didnt check any connections just asking like what all connections to check cause i know theres all for remote start just getting an idea on what connections to look for. and yes i know where the brain is.
