Ok i got an lsv in my EF hatch when i crank it i gotta hold it at half throttle before it will start when it does start it wont idle and it dies i know its timed right. but when my friend started messing with the map sensor it would barely idle he thiks it has something to do with the map sensor. ive been building this motor for 6 months, i could really use some help on what this problem is.

 

Does it pop or misfire? From the limited information you give it almost sounds like you have the distributor out of time or possibly 180* off. Also does it crank real slow?

 

sounds like ignition problem also check fuel pressure

 

no it dont misfire it cranks normal, when it starts it also wont rev up like its outa timing but its not.

see thats what my friend thought but we tried that and the resoults were the same

 

i havnt tried to adjust the distributor

 

could it be a vaccum problem
